Getty Images files Chapter 11, Koch-backed restructuring targets year-end

Getty Images has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as part of its restructuring plans to go private. This decision follows the collapse of its merger with Shutterstock due to heavy debt and competition. The Getty family and Koch Equity Development will take full ownership after the restructuring process. Getty is expected to continue operations without impacting its partners, employees, or contributors.
