GRSE launches first next-gen offshore patrol vessel for Indian Navy

Defence PSU GRSE launched Sanghamitra, the first of four next-generation offshore patrol vessels for the Indian Navy. The vessel is larger and more capable than conventional patrol vessels. It features enhanced endurance and firepower. The ship can operate in coastal waters for asset protection and interdiction operations. It will also undertake surveillance and mine warfare missions.
