Former JD(U) MP Arjun Ray joins BJP ahead of Bankipur bypoll

Arjun Ray, a former JD(U) MP, joined the BJP on Monday. He had quit his party a decade ago after Nitish Kumar rejoined the NDA. Ray was a loyalist of late Sharad Yadav and opposed Kumar's alliance shifts. His induction is seen as a move to counter Prashant Kishor's outreach. This occurs before the Bankipur assembly bypoll on July 30.
