Explosions are heard near a US base in northern Iraq as US-Iran fighting escalates

Explosions sounded near a U.S. base in Iraq and sirens rang out in Bahrain on Friday. The U.S. military conducted its thirteenth night of strikes against Iran in recent weeks. Iran has attacked ships in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted U.S. assets and allies. Houthi rebels also targeted Saudi tankers in the Red Sea, increasing shipping risks.
