EPFO disposes of nearly 99% of higher pension application, says Labour Min

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has processed almost all applications for higher pensions under the Employees' Pension Scheme 1995. This follows a Supreme Court directive. Over 17 lakh applications were submitted, with a significant portion now resolved. Many pensioners have deposited the required amounts, with pension payment orders being issued. The scheme operates on a defined contribution-defined benefit model.
