Delhi clean air protest: Police add national integration charge after protesters shout slogans for Maoist Hidma

Delhi Police has invoked charges under 'imputations and assertions prejudicial to national integration' against protesters who allegedly raised pro-Maoist slogans and used pepper spray during an anti-pollution demonstration at India Gate. The new section, 197 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, was added to an FIR after protesters hailed slain Maoist leader Madvi Hidma. Several policemen were injured during the confrontation.
