A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a cyclonic storm named Senyar by November 26. Heavy rainfall alerts have been issued for Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala. Several districts in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry have already announced school holidays due to the forecast.
