Congress president Gaurav Gogoi files nomination from Jorhat assembly seat

Gaurav Gogoi, Assam Congress chief, has filed his nomination for the Jorhat assembly seat. This marks his first electoral contest in the state polls. He visited religious sites before a large rally. Gogoi will face veteran BJP politician Hitendranath Goswami. Nomination papers are due Monday.
