Congress expels Kripa Alva in connection with 'sting operation'

Kripa Alva was expelled from the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee for six years due to her involvement in a sting operation. The expulsion caused embarrassment for the Congress party due to negative media reactions. Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah linked her to a controversial video and sought a court injunction against its distribution. Bengaluru police found allegations of sexual abuse in the video to be a fabricated narrative.
