Chinese tech firm manager sacked after leaked payslip reveals his approximately Rs 5 crore salary

A manager in China has been fired after his 4.5 crore salary became publicly known, per SCMP. Tencent dismissed the employee, identified as Ye, from its WeChat division after his multimillion-yuan bonus leaked online. He was terminated for sharing sensitive internal information externally and has been permanently barred from rehire. Tencent has intensified compliance efforts, dismissing over 90 employees in 2025.
