Cabinet nod to raise SC strength to 37 plus CJI

The Union Cabinet has approved increasing the number of Supreme Court judges. The strength will rise to 37, excluding the Chief Justice of India. This move aims to improve efficiency and speed up justice delivery. Over 92,000 cases are currently pending. The government plans to introduce a bill in Parliament to effect this change.
