CM Vijay suspends top official, orders major transfers after Tamil Nadu jailbreak

Chennai Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay has ordered the suspension of the deputy jail superintendent due to security failures. This decision follows a major jailbreak incident in Theni district, where 17 prisoners escaped. The inmates staged a fake medical emergency and overpowered prison guards before their recapture. Stringent action against prison personnel highlights the government's response to security lapses.
