BJP rakes up Waqf land row, alleges 'appeasement politics' threatening farmers' livelihood

Senior BJP leader R Ashoka has accused the Karnataka government of appeasement politics, alleging that Waqf references are being entered into farmers' land records, threatening their livelihoods. He claims over 1.8 lakh farmers' land records have been affected, with the process potentially extending to three lakh RTCs across 31 districts. Ashoka demanded an immediate halt to the exercise and a White Paper, emphasizing the need to protect farmers' land rights.
