An Assam family's act of kindness in rescuing and raising an orphaned civet cub, Bhakat, in 2009 has unexpectedly found its way into an NCERT Class X English textbook. The cub was breastfed by Anjali Saikia alongside her infant son, becoming a beloved family member.
