Asian Cup postponed to December 2027 as security concerns disrupt Saudi Arabia

The Asian Football Confederation announced that the 2027 Asian Cup will be postponed until December. This decision follows regional security concerns and logistical issues stemming from recent Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. Originally scheduled for January 2027, the tournament will now occur from December 23, 2027, to January 21, 2028. Local organizers had previously maintained that the event would proceed as planned until this announcement.
