Anti-encroachment Drive: Team gheraoed, earthmover torched

Villagers in Bettiah gheraoed a forest department team on Thursday. They set ablaze one earthmover and damaged another during an anti-encroachment drive. Villagers claimed they had cultivated the land for many years. They stated they were not informed about the forest department's drive. Tension escalated after sugarcane crops were allegedly damaged during the operation.
