Another setback for BJD as Rajya Sabha MP Debashish Samantaray quits, likely to join BJP

BJD Rajya Sabha MP Debashish Samantaray has resigned from the party. He cited systematic belittlement as the reason for his departure. This follows similar exits by other Rajya Sabha MPs. Samantaray expressed gratitude to party chief Naveen Patnaik for past opportunities. He is reportedly likely to join the BJP.
