20 Naxalites surrender in Chhattisgarh's Sukma
Twenty Naxalites, including nine women, surrendered in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh. The Naxalites cited disillusionment with Maoist ideology and internal conflicts. They were also influenced by the state government's development schemes. Surrendered Naxalites will receive assistance and rehabilitation. Police appealed to other Maoists to abandon violence. The surrendered Naxalites will be provided education, employment and a self-reliant life.
