'The suicidal ship': Who was Mumbai engineer Deonandan Prasad Singh, killed in tanker attack near Iraq?

A 54-year-old Indian seafarer from Mumbai has died after the oil tanker he was serving on was attacked near Iraqs southern port city of Basra. Deonandan Prasad Singh sustained severe injuries during the incident and later succumbed to them. The tankers crew abandoned the vessel and were rescued. An investigation into the attack is underway.
