Language cant grow on fear: Shiv Sena ex-MP Sanjay Nirupam seeks review of 'Marathi for drivers' order

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam has urged state transport minister Pratap Sarnaik to reconsider making Marathi knowledge compulsory for auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers. Nirupam expressed concerns that the mandatory language test, set to be implemented from May 8, could negatively impact the livelihoods of thousands of drivers, many of whom are from outside Maharashtra.
