Kerala-bound Air India Express B737 hits runway edge lights during take-off at Muscat airport; probe underway

An Air India Express flight to Kannur experienced a serious incident in Muscat when the Boeing 737-800 lined up with runway edge lights instead of the centreline during a night take-off. The aircraft struck and destroyed lights, leading to a rejected take-off, hydraulic leak, and engine damage from foreign object ingestion. Investigations are underway.
