Heavy rain lashes parts of Mumbai after weeks of dry spell; monsoon onset likely soon

The island city saw an average of 17 mm rainfall, with Bandra West recording a significant 70 mm. Areas like Worli Naka and Lower Parel also received substantial rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds.
