BMC cuts tree loss by 80% in Malabar Hill tank project

In a commendable response to community outcry, Mumbai's civic authorities have dramatically cut down the number of trees earmarked for removal in the Malabar Hill reservoir initiative from 389 to just 76. The new design shifts focus to safeguarding older, more robust trees, as officials confirmed that the majority of those slated for removal are smaller in size.
