Over 1.4 billion accounts hacked monthly worldwide: Cyber Security Council

The UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC) has warned that more than 1.4 billion accounts are hacked globally each month due to unsecured digital footprints. It highlighted risks from both passive and active footprints, stressing that weakly protected data can lead to identity theft and phishing. The CSC urged users to use official apps, review permissions, enable two-factor authentication, and stay vigilant.
