Nepal records 82 deaths in monsoon-related incidents

Nepal witnessed a significant decrease in monsoon-related fatalities this year, with 82 deaths reported compared to 227 in 2024. A report by the NDRRMA indicates 22 people are still missing. The country experienced 22% less rainfall than average. Landslides, floods, heavy rain, and lightning affected nearly 3,899 families across Nepal between mid-April and August end.
