STF arrests key member of Ayushman card fraud syndicate in Lucknow; accused claims role in creating 1,500 fake beneficiaries

Uttar Pradesh STF has nabbed a key player in a cyber fraud ring that generated thousands of fake Ayushman Bharat health cards for ineligible individuals. The syndicate bypassed verification systems using an illegal portal, allowing them to add unqualified people to genuine beneficiary families. This enabled free medical treatment at government expense, causing substantial financial losses.
