Meet 'Ibu Baron': Giant python in Indonesia confirmed as the longest wild snake ever officially measured

A giant reticulated python named Ibu Baron has been officially measured as the world's longest snake. This incredible reptile reached an impressive length of 7.22 meters, setting a new Guinness World Record. Ibu Baron was discovered in the Maros area of Sulawesi in December 2025. Wildlife specialists believe the snake could be even longer than the recorded measurement.
