Being manipulated in a relationship is not always obvious. In many cases, it does not look like open control or dramatic conflict. Instead, it can show up in subtle ways that leave you confused, drained, and constantly second-guessing yourself. Psychologist Ziad Roumy said in a social media video recently that this is especially common when the other person is unhappy, insecure, or feeling like they are losing. In such situations, manipulation may happen almost automatically, which is why it becomes so difficult to spot.You may feel that something is wrong, but you cannot quite explain it or prove it. According to Roumy, there are three common signs that are easy to miss, but important to recognise early.
