Vizhinjam port sees record cargo growth amid global shipping disruptions

The seaport processed nearly 1.3 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of cargo during its inaugural financial year. Amid global shipping disruptions sparked by the Hormuz crisis, the port records its highest vessel berthing with 61 vessels and transshipped 1,18,000 TEUs of cargo.
