1.09 lakh vacancies in CAPFs, recruitment for 72689 posts going on: Govt

Over one lakh positions were vacant in Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles as of January 1. Recruitment is underway for over seventy-two thousand posts. The sanctioned strength in these forces increased. Vacancies arise due to retirements, resignations, and promotions. The ministry is taking steps to fill vacancies quickly.
