LS Speaker Birla calls meet to break House deadlock over SIR

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has called a meeting of party leaders to resolve the impasse over electoral roll revisions. Opposition parties are demanding a discussion on the special intensive revision process. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju met floor leaders but ruled out a discussion on the revision itself, calling it an administrative matter.
