From Sukhoi-30 to mine-laying systems: How India plans to counter twin China-Pakistan challenge with Rs 1.1 lakh crore upgrade list

The Defence Acquisition Council has cleared proposals worth Rs 1.1 lakh crore to strengthen India's armed forces, taking approvals this year to Rs 1.6 lakh crore and those since 2025 to Rs 13 lakh crore. The package includes CBRN reconnaissance vehicles, Arudhra radars, a ground-based jammer, marine gas turbines, trawl tanks, the Sarvatra bridge system, mine layers and high-mobility vehicles.
