This RTX 5080 Mac mini gaming setup costs less than a PC rig, consoles included

Ive spent most of 2026 gaming without a gaming PC. My main setup has been a Mac mini paired with GeForce NOW Ultimate. After living with it for most of the year, I had a pretty strong suspicion that this setup was giving me more for my money than building another high-end gaming PC. So I did the math. Even if I buy the latest Mac mini every time Apple releases one and keep paying for GeForce NOW Ultimate, my annual cost works out to about $180 less than keeping an RTX 5080 gaming PC current. I also get to skip most of the work that comes with owning one. more
