Actress Preity Zinta has moved the Bombay High Court seeking to halt the spread of AI-generated deepfake videos and morphed images of herself. The court is considering an injunction against online platforms and intermediaries like Google and Meta. Justice Madhav Jamdar emphasized a balanced approach, directing parties to devise a practical method for removing infringing content while protecting legitimate material. A decision is expected soon.
