Hema Malini, seeking a home with greenery, initially disliked Mumbai's apartments. After a disturbing bungalow experience, she purchased her first home in 1972, later buying a bungalow in Juhu where Dharmendra also resided. Despite living close, Hema and Dharmendra's first wife, Prakash Kaur, never met until their daughter Esha's encounter years later.
