Akshaye left Vinod Khanna shocked when he told him he wants to act

Akshaye Khanna's acting aspirations were revealed to his father, Vinod Khanna, unexpectedly during a dinner with JP Dutta. Dutta, a close family friend, offered Akshaye a role in 'Border,' a surprise to Vinod Khanna who learned of his son's desire to act then. This led to Vinod Khanna launching Akshaye in 'Himalay Putra' first.
