Waiting for tax refund? Some states are slowing payments see if you are affected

Some Americans may wait longer for their state tax refunds in 2025. A few states are facing delays because of new tax law changes, software issues, and fewer tax workers. Some places are still updating their tax systems or dealing with legal disputes. Because of this, many taxpayers could see slower processing and later refunds this tax season.
