Voluntary retirement not mere act of leaving, rather distinct right of employee: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has declared voluntary retirement a distinct employee right. This right becomes effective after completing service years and giving notice. If the employer does not refuse the notice within the stipulated period, the retirement is considered valid. The court ruled that subsequent actions like charge sheets and dismissals are unjustified.
