Trumps 100% generic drug duty threatens US low-cost supply

President Donald Trump has given generic drugmakers two years to shift manufacturing to the US or face 100% import tariffs from August 2028, rising to 200% a year later. The move threatens India's pharmaceutical exports, could disrupt low-cost medicine supplies, raise drug prices, and trigger shortages for millions of American patients.
