Trump administration appeals to Supreme Court in push to sideline 20,000 California mail ballots

President Donald Trump's administration has appealed to the Supreme Court regarding disputed California mail ballots. The appeal aims to set aside about 20,000 ballots from suspected non-citizen voters. California officials argue that the list of suspects is unreliable and may include citizens. A district court previously warned that segregating these ballots could disrupt the election process. Voting has already begun in California, which is crucial for determining congressional control.
