Supreme Court hints at arrests, penalties to curb stubble burning

The Supreme Court on Wednesday suggested strict measures, including arrests and penalties, to tackle stubble burning in Punjab. Chief Justice BR Gavai said while farmers are vital, unchecked burning cannot continue, warning the state to act or face court orders as NCR pollution concerns mount.
