SIR Phase 2: Draft rolls out in 11 of 12 states, UTs; 3.7 crore deletions, UP pending

A special revision of voter lists across eleven states and union territories has removed over 3.7 crore names. This exercise is part of an ongoing process to update electoral rolls. Voters can still make claims and objections until January 22, 2026. The final updated voter lists will be published on February 21.
