Real-time tax data to sharpen state GDP estimates under new methodology: MoSPI

India is set to enhance economic growth estimation for states. Real-time Goods and Services Tax Network data will provide more accurate Gross State Domestic Product figures. Capacity-building workshops will aid states. A new Gross Domestic Product series releases February 27, 2026. The system will improve measurement of the informal sector and expand inflation tracking.
