Ranjeev Puri eyes to be Michigan's first Indian-American House Speaker

Indian-American lawmaker Ranjeev Puri is set to run for the position of Speaker in the Michigan House of Representatives. Known for being the first Sikh American elected in 2020, Puri faces off against Republican Allison Kay Fuller in the upcoming races on November 3. As Democrats aim to break the Republican majority, a successful campaign for Puri could result in him making history as the first Indian-American Speaker in Michigan.
