No proposal for one-time waiver of loans of small, marginal farmers: MoS Finance

The government has no current proposal for a one-time loan waiver for farmers. The Reserve Bank of India offers financial restructuring options for distressed borrowers. The government has approved a proposal for polymer banknotes in Rs 10 and Rs 20 denominations. These polymer notes will have a longer lifespan than paper currency. The Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme has issued over five lakh guarantees.
