No electricity, no water, no toilets for 16 years: 50 neglected families in Trichy to boycott TN polls; MLA already under lens after Feb assault row

Over 50 families in Thirupparaithurai, Tiruchirappalli, have announced a formal boycott of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, citing 16 years of living without electricity, drinking water, or sanitation. The residents, located in the Nandavanam area within the Srirangam Assembly Segment of the 24 Tiruchirappalli Parliamentary Constituency, claim they were relocated by the government during a National Highway extension but have since been neglected by four successive Chief Ministers.
