Nearly 83,000 hectares of Assam land encroached by four states

During a recent assembly meeting, concerns were raised regarding land occupation by neighboring states in Assam. Nagaland currently occupies the majority of land, with Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram taking significant shares as well. Interestingly, Meghalaya has claimed the least land from Assam. The state government is committed to resolving these disputes through constructive dialogue and formal agreements.
