Meat, alcohol ban at Amritsar & 2 other 'holy cities' now in effect: Punjab CM Mann

The Punjab government has officially declared Amritsar Walled City, Talwandi Sabo, and Sri Anandpur Sahib as holy cities. This designation brings a complete ban on the sale of meat, tobacco, alcohol, and other intoxicants in these revered Sikh locations. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann confirmed the notification is now in effect. The government will enhance public transport for devotees.
