Kerala to extend social security benefits to nuns and other women in faith homes

Kerala's government has launched a special scheme to provide social security benefits to women in religious institutions. This initiative aims to remove barriers preventing nuns and others from accessing financial aid. Unmarried women over 50 residing in convents, monasteries, and ashrams, without independent income or other government support, will now be eligible for pensions.
