Kedarnath portals open today as fresh snowfall blankets Dham, pilgrims throng shrine

The portals of Kedarnath Temple reopened on Wednesday after a six-month winter break, with thousands of devotees arriving despite heavy snowfall covering the town. Authorities said the unusually high snowfall in March and April has added to pilgrim enthusiasm but urged caution on unsafe routes.
